Police say the suspect in an alleged attempted burglary is in stable condition after being shot Monday evening near a Central Lubbock apartment complex.
According to a Lubbock police news release, the victim was transported to University Medical Center after he was shot by 34-year-old Robert Michael Wilbur during an attempted burglary shortly after 7 p.m., in the 2000 block of Main Street.

A Lubbock man was indicted on Tuesday for allegedly attacking his girlfriend with several hard objects, including a rubber mallet, on Aug. 30 in their home.
Police arrested 57-year-old Charles Woodruff Jr. on Sept. 13, following a warrant for his arrest.
According to a police report, Woodruff is accused of striking his live-in girlfriend with multiple objects, causing her serious bodily injury.
The woman was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

Court documents released on Wednesday, shows more information behind 49-year-old James Pritchard’s arrest following the multi-vehicle crash that took the life of 50-year-old Sammy Castaneda on Sunday evening in Central Lubbock.
A search warrant for a blood sample was issued a few hours after the crash, after an officer noticed several factors indicating possible intoxication, including a faint smell of alcohol while speaking with Pritchard.
